The Setting In addition to the three beautiful suites, the setting is utterly enchanting. There are several private outdoor sitting areas nestled along a limestone lined stretch of one acre of Town Creek that remind you to sit, relax and treasure those that truly matter. Spend time wandering along the creek landscaped with wild four o'clock, yellow columbine, American beautyberry, irises and elephant ears. Or snuggle into a glider built for two and watch our resident ducks and turtles peacefully cruise around Town Creek. The shade of the giant cypress and elm trees offer the perfect canopy. Shady Creek is currently home to twelve happy ducks. In April it is such a joy to see baby ducklings (12 in 2002) swimming behind their mother. These and many generations of ducks are the reason many locals know Shady Creek as "The Duck Crossing".
